Preview: Steven Raichlen's Project Fire

Series Two - July 2019!

Steven Raichlen's Project Fire

The man who reinvented world barbecue is back with another sizzling season. More projects, more fire...and definitely more easy-to-follow instructions to help you take your grilling to the next level. Filmed in scenic Steinhatchee, the fishing mecca on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Season 2 of Project Fire brings new grills, new fuels, new dishes, and jaw-dropping new techniques...from grilling fresh flatbreads in the embers to spit-roasting whole beef shoulder clod over wood, along with hot iron, smoky salt slabs, upright stakes over a campfire, and of course brisket.

Barbecue University at the Broadmoor

Join me for the ultimate experience for grilling enthusiasts of all skill levels: Barbecue University™ at the luxurious Forbes 5-Star Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our 2019 sessions will take place May 22 – 25 and May 25 – 28.

“I have attended cooking classes and retreats throughout the US and Europe but have never experienced anything like BBQ University…”
— Larry Olmsted, contributor to Forbes and BBQ U™ graduate

This year’s menus and curriculum will be inspired by the new series Project Fire. You’ll learn how to make barbecue’s most iconic dishes and more, all with a special Raichlen twist—from Bourbon Vanilla Baby Back Ribs and Koreatown Brisket to Porchetta Pork Shoulder, Caveman Lobster (roasted in the coals) with Absinthe Butter, and Salt Slab Chocolate Brownie S’mores. Even cocktails, like Grilled Peach Bellinis, get wood-smoked.
